HAWAIIAN SHOOTOUT SERIES - House Rules
1. Each team must have a cell phone on board.
2. All IGFA rules apply except :
Line classes up to 150 lb. test allowed
Fish may be fought from the gunwale (one angler only)
Rod may be transferred to the chair or gimbal for the angler.
Green sticks are not allowed.
Standard trolling techniques, chunking and live bait are allowed only.
3. Shotgun start at Lahaina "L" buoy. Start fishing 7am. Stop fishing 4pm. Please be on line by 6:30am.
4. Each boat must check in on starting line, and be photographed by tournament committee. Channel 66 VHF Radio.
5. Qualifying fish: Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, and Ahi. Minimum weight is 100 lbs.
6. All hook-ups and captured fish must be called into Shootout committee
immediately by phone. Failure to report will result in disqualification. All
participants may call committee at anytime for an update. Cell phone - 283-2628.
7. All fish must be weighed in at Lahaina harbor, by Certified scale and the official weigh master. ALL TEAMS MUST "SECURE"AT THE END OF THE DAY! If you call in "Secure" and are not back to the harbor, you are holoholo from that point on.
8. Distribution of winnings: First place winner takes all less 15%. The 15% reserved will go toward expenses…ie…
hats, shirts, briefing, entertainment, licensing, catering, permits, insurance,
advertising, etc…
9. Second place boat is granted free entry for Spring Shootout 2006!
10. Optional Entries: $100, $300, $500 and $1,000 (side entries) for second place ONLY!
Qualifying fish ONLY! Ninety percent pay-out. You must enter to win, ie…Maui Jim 2003!!
11. In the case of an exact tie… purse will be evenly divided.
12. In the event that there are no qualifying fish caught…each boat entry will receive an 85% refund.
13. Liability: All captains, crew, anglers, and guests…enter the H.S.O. at their own risk…individually and collectively (as a team), and assume all responsibility for any and all injuries and or damages that may occur.
14. It is the responsibility of all Captains, anglers and crew to decide, in advance, to fish on October 31, 2005. Any withdrawals must notify committee by phone before October 30, 7:00p.m. Absolutely NO REFUNDS after that time.
15. Halloween Shootout committee reserves the right to a final decision, in any and all disputes. A polygraph may be requested (committee’s choice) subject to the expense of the person, or persons, pursuing the dispute. All protest must be filed, in writing, by 7:00 pm October 31, 2005. NO EXCEPTIONS!
